KID Closure FAQs

Thank you so much for your support during KID’s final weeks of trading.

We are incredibly grateful for the kindness, messages, and orders we have received since announcing our closure. To help answer common questions, we have put together the information below.

We are currently awaiting final confirmation of our exact closing date and will update this page as soon as it is confirmed. KID is expected to close in early July 2026.

 


 

Closing & Final Sale

When is KID closing?

KID is expected to close in early July 2026.

We are currently awaiting final confirmation of our exact closing date and will share this as soon as possible. Until then, our closing sale is now underway while stocks last.

Why is KID closing?

Unfortunately, like many small independent retailers, rising costs and increasing competition from larger retailers have made it increasingly difficult for us to continue.

We are very sad to close our doors, but we are also incredibly grateful for the wonderful community that has supported KID over the years.

Is everything on sale?

Yes. Our final sale is now underway across remaining stock.

Discounts may vary throughout the sale, and all items are available while stocks last.

Will discounts increase further?

Discounts may change during the final sale depending on remaining stock levels and availability.

If there is something you really want, we recommend ordering sooner rather than later, as once an item sells out, it will not be restocked.

Will you be getting any more stock?

No. We will not be receiving any more stock. Once an item sells out, it will not be restocked.

Can you hold an item for me?

Unfortunately, we are unable to reserve or hold stock. All products are available on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.

 


 

Gift Cards

Can I still use my gift card?

Yes. Gift cards remain valid and can be redeemed while we continue trading.

We strongly recommend using your gift card as soon as possible, as stock is limited and items will not be restocked.

When should I use my gift card by?

Please use your gift card as soon as possible during our closing sale.

KID is expected to close in early July 2026, and gift cards can only be redeemed while we continue trading. Once our exact closing date is confirmed, we will update this page.

Can gift cards be exchanged for cash?

No. Gift cards can be used towards purchases while we continue trading, but they cannot be exchanged for cash.

Can I buy a gift card?

No. Gift card sales have now been disabled and gift cards can no longer be purchased.

 


 

Orders & Delivery

Can I still place an order?

Yes, absolutely. We will continue accepting orders while we remain open, subject to stock availability.

I placed an order before the closure announcement. Will it still be shipped?

Yes. All existing orders will be fulfilled as normal.

Will my order still be dispatched as normal?

Yes. Orders will continue to be processed and dispatched while we remain open. Due to the high volume of orders during the closing sale, please allow a little extra time for dispatch.

Will delivery times change during the sale?

Delivery times may be slightly longer than usual during the closing sale. We will do our best to get orders out as quickly as possible and really appreciate your patience.

What happens if I place an order close to the closing date?

Any orders accepted before we stop trading will be processed and dispatched as normal.

Please note that all items remain subject to availability, and once stock sells out, it will not be restocked.

 


 

Returns & Product Support

Can I still return an item?

Purchases made before 22 June 2026 remain subject to our normal returns policy.

Purchases made from 22 June 2026 onwards as part of our closing sale are final sale and cannot be returned for change of mind.

This does not affect your statutory rights. If an item is faulty, please contact us as soon as possible while our customer service team remains available, up to 20 July 2026.

What if my item is faulty?

If there is a problem with your product, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

Our customer service team will remain available until 20 July 2026 to help with outstanding order queries, delivery issues, and faulty items.

What happens if I have an issue with a product after KID closes?

Our customer service team will remain available by email until 20 July 2026 to assist with outstanding queries and issues reported shortly after closure.

Many of the brands we stock also provide their own warranties and customer support. Where available, we will point customers in the right direction for any ongoing support needs, and manufacturers may be able to assist directly with longer-term product issues.

During this time, we will do our best to assist with outstanding order queries, delivery issues, returns, and product support.
